| This started life as a long straight skirt made in slightly stretch denim. I cut the hem at an angle I wanted and decorated the skirt with embroideries mainly by Rick Dreher which sewed out perfectly. I finished off the hem with a bead trim and braid. I sewed jewellery jump rings onto the real feathers, and rings onto the skirt, so that the feathers can be removed for washing. |

| A problem I've had with straight skirts like this one, is that the top of the pleat opening tears quite easily. The lace designs I've used are free-standing lace by , which are on one of the Janome design cards. Once I'd sewn the designs on washaway stabiliser, I sewed the lace on to the skirt. |
Shoe Skirt

And I do happen to like shoes, so what better subject? These designs of sneakers, a cowboy boot, Dutch clogs and
elegant lace shoes, interspersed with bows, were mostly freebies downloaded from the Net.
